I’m a senior clinical psychologist, having worked in the field of play therapy and clinical psychology for a combined 12 years.
Primarily trained in insight-orientated (psychodynamic) psychotherapy, I integrate my comprehensive training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Art Therapy, Play Therapy and Attachment-Based Interventions as required.
As an accredited and experienced Mindfulness Teacher, I can support clients with Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. General assessments and treatment recommendations are also provided.
I have a special interest in tailoring interventions to families, assisting:
- children from 4 years old,
- teenagers and adolescents,
- as well as assisting with the relationships between parents and their children.
Currently, individual therapy or family/ parent-child therapy and assessments are primarily offered, with occasional DBT groups and parenting groups being run upon request.
My office is based at the Orewa House, a Health and Wellness Centre, set in a beautiful, tranquil location just off the Hibiscus Coast Highway, on the edge of the Alice Eaves Scenic Reserve. Walnut Cafe is next door for a quick coffee or appreciating the river.
If you want to know more or make an appointment, feel free to contact me.
