Mr Andrew Phillips

Art Therapist

I offer in person therapy at my Newport practice, or online for clients nationwide. I work with adults who are seeking to deepen their self-understanding, for transformative healing, change, and growth. Short-term or ongoing options available. My approach is informed by Depth Psychology and Psychodynamic principles.

About Me

I guide adults seeking to deepen their self-understanding for transformative healing and growth. Through creative expression, we explore inner landscapes, making sense of experiences often hard to put into words. My approach, rooted in Depth Psychology, offers a unique path to uncover unconscious patterns. This is ideal if you are drawn to exploring your inner world through a psychodynamic lens. My practice provides a safe space for profound self-discovery and lasting change.

Approach

Sessions often open with a creative prompt or image to invite material that words alone can’t reach, then slow down to trace recurring feelings and symbols. Online sessions from my base in Newport are held in English, and I keep a calm, steady pace so reflections between meetings can be noticed and brought back into the room. Work blends art-making, symbol-focused reflection and open-ended listening to uncover hidden patterns and personal meaning. This way of working suits adults ready to explore inner themes with patience and curiosity.
