“I offer English-speaking integrative therapy in Utrecht and online. I work collaboratively with adults, adolescents, and children experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, relationship difficulties, identity concerns, and life transitions. My approach is person-centered and tailored to the individual because therapy should adapt to the person—not the other way around.”

About me

I believe that therapy is about more than reducing symptoms. It is an opportunity to better understand yourself, your relationships, and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I am an American therapist living in the Netherlands and have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. I understand that beginning therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you've never spoken to a therapist before or are living far from your usual support network. I aim to create a calm, accepting, and collaborative space where clients feel heard without judgement. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, relationship difficulties, or simply feel that something isn't quite right, we work together to explore what is happening and find a way forward that fits you.

Approach

My work is integrative, meaning I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on each person's needs rather than following a single model. Talk therapy forms the foundation of my work, while creative approaches are available when they genuinely support the therapeutic process. I also integrate trauma-informed care, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed work, mindfulness, and practical strategies where appropriate. The first few sessions focus on getting to know one another, understanding what has brought you to therapy, and developing goals together. I don't believe therapy should be about forcing people into a particular approach. Instead, I adapt therapy to the individual, helping clients better understand themselves, develop self-compassion, and create meaningful, lasting change.
