Miss Amy Wilson

Occupational Therapist

I am an experienced and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist working with adolescents and adults with a variety of mental health conditions. I enjoy working with clients and their families in order to asssit with reintegration and functionality, emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance and self development.

About Me

As an Occupational Therapist, I am enthusiastic about supporting adolescents and adults facing mental health conditions. I work closely with you and your family, helping you build practical skills for daily life. We can explore techniques like mindfulness to manage emotions and foster self-development. This collaborative approach helps you regain functionality, offering a clear path to greater independence and a calmer everyday experience.

Approach

You’ll find I orient work around practical goals—breaking tasks into manageable steps and building routines that feel doable at home, school or work. In Cape Town I offer face-to-face and online sessions in English where we practise emotion-regulation strategies, role-play daily activities and set small between-session experiments. Sessions are calm and structured, paced to your needs, often involving carers when that supports reintegration and steady skill-building. This way of working tends to suit adolescents, adults and parents seeking clear, hands-on progress.
