About Me

I’m Alvar Mora Pereyra, a Bilingual (Spanish and English) Licensed Psychologist specializing in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, with extensive experience providing therapy in both Spanish and English to clients worldwide. I'm a University Professor at the University of Belgrano where I teach multiple subjects as well as the Creator and Host of the Radio Program Psicología Hablante. My clinical practice focuses on anxiety, depression, attachment styles, trauma, stress management, and the expatriation process, helping individuals navigate life transitions and emotional challenges. I have extensive academic and clinical formation, currently with Master’s studies in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy from the University of La Matanza. I possess multiple University Diplomas in Psychoanalytic Clinical Practice and a Licenciatura in Psychology (Licensing Degree, equivalent to a Bachelor and Masters Degree). I am also an International Affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and an Adherent Member of the Argentine Mental Health Association (AASM). My clinical experience spans hospitals, clinics, private practice, and academic settings. I have worked in public hospitals such as Hospital Fernández and Hospital Argerich, where I gained expertise in crisis intervention and complex psychopathologies. In my private practice, I provide psychoanalytic psychotherapy to both national and international clients, tailoring my approach to each individual’s needs. Additionally, I serve as a university professor, training future psychologists in clinical practice, cultural adaptation, and mental health interventions. My goal is to provide a supportive, confidential, and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their emotions, gain insight, and develop effective coping strategies. If you are looking for professional support, feel free to reach out.
