Allie Clingan

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

My goal is to help you understand yourself on a deeper level in order to improve your relationships and remove obstacles that are preventing you from living a meaningful life. I use a variety of modalities including DBT, CBT and CPT.

About Me

I offer a supportive space to explore your inner world. Understanding yourself more deeply can transform your relationships. It can also help clear obstacles, guiding you towards a more meaningful life. We can use practical tools, like those from CBT, to navigate challenges together. If you seek stronger connections and a more purposeful life, you will find a collaborative environment here.

Approach

Naming patterns and small moments that derail you becomes the springboard for change, so our work focuses on clear, paced experiments and gentle skill-building. In sessions—whether in my Los Angeles office or by secure video—I blend focused reflection with homework-sized practices to shift anxious thoughts, interrupt self-sabotage around eating, and process traumatic memories at a tolerable pace. Between meetings I offer short, practical strategies to try and we review what helped. This way of working tends to suit adults ready for steady, collaborative change.
