Affinity Therapy Services
“I'm Ross Grossman, and I've spent over 40 years trying to understand what makes people tick—including myself. Early in my life, I struggled with my own effectiveness. Personally. Professionally. I knew something wasn't working, but I couldn't see what. That frustration sent me on a deep dive into philosophy, psychology, and the science of human behavior. What I eventually found was a clear, evidence-based framework for understanding why we think, feel, and act the way we do—and more importantly, how to change it. That discovery changed my life. Now I help others access the same clarity. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film from UCLA. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California with experience across some of the most demanding clinical settings: Kaiser Permanente's Psychiatry and Chemical Dependency programs, West Oakland Mental Health, the Cocaine Recovery Center, and Children's Bureau of Southern California. I've served as both a Clinical Supervisor and Utilization Manager overseeing teams of clinicians and interns. But credentials only tell part of the story. What I bring to every session is this: I know what it's like to feel lost, and I know what it takes to find your way out. I don't sit above my clients as an authority dispensing wisdom. I sit with them as a guide who's walked difficult roads himself. My work has been featured in national publications including Forbes, Men's Health, Cosmopolitan, and Yahoo Lifestyle. I'm currently completing my first book, Psychology—Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, featuring interviews with the world's leading psychotherapists.”
