Ms Aditi Chawla, MSc

Psychological Counselor

I am committed to fostering safe spaces and promoting accessible mental health practices for individuals across diverse settings.

About Me

I am a mental health professional with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from St. Joseph's University. My journey in mental health has been shaped by academic research, clinical practice, and a passion for mental health. My Master’s dissertation explored LGBTQ+ mental health, focusing on identity, stigma, and coping mechanisms. I presented this work at the Pan NIT Social Science Conference, and it was later published in the Web of Science-indexed Rupkatha Journal. My work as a Research Analyst with the Future of Work Lab, Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, set the groundwork and gave me the research knowledge and background needed in order to publish. I currently work as a Junior Psychological Counsellor at Symbiosis University Bangalore, supporting students through personal and mental health challenges using various evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness. During my Master’s program, I gained experience as a counsellor by interning at National Public School, where I helped with students’ emotional and academic well-being. I hold certifications in CBT, Trauma-Informed Care, and Legal Literacy and Counseling and am currently pursuing a certification in Trauma-Informed Therapy. My professional background also includes experience in private practice with a sliding-scale pricing model to ensure accessibility for clients. I also Interned as a content writer with The Intelligent Indian and worked as a Social Media Manager and Content Writer for Obuka Wellbeing, focusing on creating engaging mental health content.
