Ms Jessie-Anne Bird

Educational Psychologist

Team Leader at the Neurodiversity Centre, KZN. I work with children, adolescents, individuals, and families with the aim of improving psychological, emotional, and educational functioning. Interest in neurodevelopmental conditions.

About Me

I am a licensed Educational Psychologist based in Salt Rock, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. I assess and treat children and adolescents for behaviour issues and trauma. I provide diagnostic assessments, play therapy, psychotherapy and parenting support to help you and your child.

Approach

Strengthening emotional wellbeing and learning skills begins with practical, paced sessions that blend focused assessment and child-led play. I meet with families from Salt Rock and online in English, working alongside parents and young people to tailor steps that fit your day-to-day life. Sessions alternate brief, goal-focused tasks, reflective conversation, and playful interventions; between appointments I share clear feedback and simple parenting strategies so gains translate to school and home. This way of working often helps families facing behaviour challenges, trauma or developmental uncertainty who want collaborative, straightforward support.
